Alejandro Buchner was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
At a young age, he felt he could express himself best through art. He began drawing and sculpting and it became clear that he had a natural talent. He studied visual arts at La Universidad de Bellas Artes in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
After years of working in the industry; storyboarding and advertising in Buenos Aires, and a set designer in Paris, France he moved to California. There he found himself wanting to focus his attention on more education in Sculpture, Drawing and Painting.
Studying at the Florence Academy of Art during the summer of 2017, and previously at Concept Design Academy and 3 Kicks Studio in Pasadena and Gnomon School in Hollywood, he has been able to increase his skills and technical level.
Alejandro is currently teaching Fundamentals of Figure Drawing, and Figure and Portrait Sculpture at Laguna College of Art and Design in Laguna Beach, Ca. He also teaches small group sculpture classes at his studio Alejandro Buchner Sculpture Studio in West Hollywood, Ca.
Alejandro uses the human form as the foundation for his work. He finds this the most natural way to communicate beauty through exploration, discipline and a true understanding of human anatomy.
